Ronald B. Sooklall Obituary

In Loving Memory of Ronald B. Sooklall, A Faithful Servant of the Lord

On November 9, 2024, Ronald B. Sooklall was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 75. He passed away peacefully at North Shore University Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Ronald was born on May 28, 1949, in La Bonne Intention, British Guiana (now Guyana), to Boodram and Latchmin Sooklall. From a young age, Ronald was a hard worker with a natural talent for handiwork. He enjoyed playing and watching cricket, reading, and constantly expanding his knowledge.

A man of great dedication, Ronald's greatest goal was to provide for his family, offering them a life filled with love and opportunity. Known for his generosity, strength, and wisdom, he guided those around him with a steady hand. His life was rich with experience, always carefully organized and purposeful as he gave his best in everything he did. Since 2021, Ronald was deeply devoted to his faith, finding joy in worshiping the Lord and attending Bethlehem Church.

He is survived by his wife, Maudeline; his children, Ramona, Renu, Donald, and Kimberly; his sons-in-law, Mark and Raj, and his daughter-in-law, Treisha; his grandchildren, Matthew, Arianna, Rachel, Zachary, Emma, and Elijah; and his surviving siblings, Peps and Golin. He was predeceased by his siblings, John, James, Jack, and Murlin.

A celebration of Ronald's life will take place at Leahy McDonald Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 13, from 6–9 PM, followed by a service at Bethlehem Church at 9:45 AM on Thursday, November 14, before the burial at Maple Grove Cemetery at 11 AM.
