I met Norma at my first corporate job. As a young professional just starting out in the real world, she offered tips & advice to help me excel in my career and in life overall. She was one of the people I regularly interacted with & we became friends and stayed in touch even after I left that particular job. We would go shopping and out to dinner & dancing all around NY. Boat rides, clubs like The Copacabana & lounges in the Financial District & Forest Hills, Queens. She was an excellent dancer as most Puerto Ricans are & I remember her showing me how she used to pop lock & up rock when Hip Hop & breakdancing first came out in the late 70s & early 80s here in NY. I would stay overnight at her house many times after our late nights out & she was a gracious host as was her son who would sometimes drive me home. I even got to meet her beautiful granddaughter a few times. She had a great sense of style too. I remember her black leather jackets, fitted bootcut jeans, leather boots & she would wear her hair in a tousled bob with small gold hoop earrings. She didn't use or need a lot of makeup & would tell me I didn't need to either. Her big, beautiful eyes & pretty face really stood out. She looked a lot like my mother. I told her that. I remember her & her then boyfriend Joe taking me out to eat after work for my birthday to an Italian restaurant with an outdoor patio in the Summertime in Manhattan. I still have pictures from that day and have posted them here. You can see the joy in her face shining through her laughter as she clapped. I was being a clown that day. I was happy. I am very sorry to read this news that she has transitioned as I googled her name because she crossed my mind while listening to music. I had wanted to reconnect with her after losing touch for so many years. My deepest condolences go out to her family, her son, granddaughter and all who knew & loved her. Rest in Paradise, Norma. I know you are dancing & showing them all how to dress in heaven.

Norma was and will forever be that kind, caring, and loving person we have all come to know and love.
She has touched many people in her life on earth and always put others before herself, helping them in every way she could.
She will forever be in the thoughts, prayers, and the hearts of her dear family and friends as she watches over them, in her eternal life, as they continue life's journey.
We will miss your joyful presence but will feel it every day.
Rest in eternal peace and happiness dear friend.

Norma was an exceptional friend. She was wise, beautiful and knew she had purpose. Her expressive eyes and smile would light up any room. She was fun and funny.
As I witnessed your last days I was able to hug you and tell you “that I Love you” I kissed your forehead and you kissed my hand.
You will truly be missed my dear friend.
You are now in Our Father’s house, your final destination; eternal life.
