Tribute to my loving brother Pooran
My name is Jean, and I am one of Pooran's sisters.
My brother Pooran was the eighth out of eleven siblings - seven sisters and four brothers.
I am the nineth child and so Pooran and I had a lot of fun growing up together. One of the many fond memories of him when we were young was when he built a pair of stilts, and taught me how to use them. we took turns walking around the yard with them.
My brother was a kind and compassionate person with a quiet disposition. He always smiled when you talked to him and never spoke a harsh word to me. He was a reliable and responsible brother who assisted my parents for many years with their business. He was the quietest and calmest of the four brothers. He was a very good brother.
We visited each other many times in recent years and spoke to each other regularly over the phone. The last few times when I asked him how he was feeling, he would tell me not so good, so I knew that his health was deteriorating. I wished that I was living closer to him, so that I could have helped him during his illness.
My sisters Phyllis, Marilyn and I visited him last August. Also, just a week ago, we visited him in the hospital and we were able to spend some time with him and talk with him. I am very thankful to God for giving us that opportunity.
I am also very thankful for all the special moments that we spent together. They will be forever cherished and remembered.
His memories will always continue to live in our hearts and minds.
My brother Pooran was a christian and believed in God. So I know that he is in peace with the Lord.
Although, we say goodbye to my brother Pooran, I believe in the hope that our Lord Jesus Christ has given us that we will meet again.
So, goodbye my dear brother, I love you and you will be greatly missed.
Your dearest sister,
Jean

My dearest brother Pooran was a warm, loving, kind and a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. I will cherish the memories of the time spent with you and thank God he made you our brother while you were here on earth.
In Our Hearts
We thought of you today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have are memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.
Your loving sister Marilyn.

Tribute to my loving brother Pooran
I am an older sister of my loving brother Pooran and currently reside in Canada.
Unfortunately, my brother Alvin, who resides in London England, my sister Eunice and my brother Winston who reside in Texas, my sister Tanman, my brother Jerry, my sister Marilyn, who all reside in Canada including myself are unable to be present here today for different reasons to say our final goodbye to my loving brother Pooran.
My brother Pooran, It is heartbreaking to see that you have departed this world before many of your siblings who are older than you but our Lord knows what is best for each and every one of us.
We love you dearly and even though you are gone, you will never be far away from us, as your memories will forever live in our hearts as long as we are on this earth.
I will cherish the times we spent together when we came to New York to see you and when you visited us in Canada. This is all we have now to comfort our aching hearts but we will forever love you as you truly were a wonderful and loving brother especially with that soft spoken voice.
I know that your suffering is now over and your soul is at peace in the presence of our loving father in heaven above.
We will miss you terribly but I was happy that myself and my two sisters, Jean and Marilyn and my son Vernon was able to pay you a short visit recently in the hospital before you left us.
Goodbye my loving brother Pooran.
I know we will meet again one day in the presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in whom we have great faith.
Your sister
Phyllis
