James Cosentino

Obituary of James J. Cosentino

I am so very sorry to announce (along with a FaceBook posting from my niece Lisa Ragusa) the passing of my nephew Jimmy Cosentino, who expired way to soon at the age of 54, of internal complications, while in his sleep on April 8th. Jim was a long time diabetic, which along with his gregarious personality and free- form lifestyle; complicated every illness/injury he experienced throughout his life. Jim was born in Richmond Hill, Queens-NYC where he attended Holy Child Jesus grammar school, and Archbishop Molloy high school. He actively played scholastic baseball and basketball, but as he hit his college years became a dedicated arm chair football fanatic. He attended Marist College (1988-1991) where he was introduced into the world of computers, which became his life-long profession. In his senior year, Jim was awarded an internship with IBM at it's Fox Street Interchange location in Poughkeepsie, and later on was employed as a contractor at the IBM Boca Raton (Florida) site in their Special Needs group. Relocating back to NYC, Jim held a long term consulting contract with Depository Trust. He eventually transitioned to Derby Connecticut, where he resided until his death. He was loved, and he certainly will be missed.
